Local shooting club welcomes new member to the Corn Hall

CIRENCESTER Vics will doubtless be hoping that their latest team member will settle into the groove pretty quickly.

And the new recruit, D Joynsr, received a warm welcome at the Corn Hall on Monday evening when members of the Cirences-ter and District Air Rifle and Pistol League met up to do battle.

The evening's main event was the team competition, the Aubrey Rees Cup, which was won by Meysey Hampton who defeated South Cerneyby just ten points.

Results for the Aubrey Rees Cup are as follows:

Meysey Hampton: John Donnelly 198, John Hicks 188, Gary MacDonald 188, Dajmuar Middleditch 182, Harry Wills 177; total 933.
