Cirencester B team kicks Red Saints off the netball court

TENSION was high as Cirencester B team looked to defend their faultless record to date against Red Saints

In an interesting first quarter, the goals flowed from both teams, but flawless shooting from Sarah Smith and Rachael Keating resulted in a pretty healthy lead of 15-8 for Town.

Red Saints continued their relentless attack, but skilful defending from Lisa Talintyre and Christine Downhall maintained Town's eight-goal lead after the first quarter.

With fine ball handling from Karen Briars and Laura Cove, Cirencester went further ahead in the second period.

But their third quarter lead of 23-41 didn't fully reflect the effort put in by the opposition.

In the last quarter, Cirencester enjoyed the better of the possession.

The accurate passing of Claire Woods and Sarah Frodsham continuing the momentum and flow of goals as Town finishes as 55-29 winners.

Town player of the match was Laura Cove.
