FIRST there was Shakespeare, then came America and The Bible. Nothing is safe from the Reduced Shakespeare Company - not even all the greatest works of English and American literature.
The members of the Reduced Shakespeare Company are currently performing their hilarious new show, All the Great Books (abridged), at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham until Saturday November 22 part of an extensive national tour.
Let them take you on a roller-coaster ride through all the books you should have read but couldn't be bothered.
The company returns to the UK direct from the USA where this brand new show has received rave reviews.
All the Great Books (abridged) is a condensed version of all the greatest works of English and American literature. So, in just 90 minutes, the Reduced Shakespeare Company will not only ensure you a great night in the theatre but they'll also save you a lifetime of reading!
One thing's for sure - literature lessons were never this much fun! You'll chase through Chaucer and dash through Dickens. From Jane Austen to Jeffrey Archer the RSC will rifle through your bookshelves and ask questions such as: Why was Oliver so much better at the Twist than the Jive? How much does a Greek urn? Who was afraid of Virginia Woolf?
The Reduced Shakespeare Company is London's longest running comedy hit with its other three shows, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), The Complete History of America (abridged) and The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) running in repertory at London's Criterion Theatre.
