PETER Karrie, who has been voted the world's most popular Phantom of the Opera, and BAFTA award winning opera singer Shn Cothi are appearing at the Bacon Theatre at Dean Close School, Cheltenham for one night only on Saturday, November 1 at 7.30pm.
The show, entitled Peter Karrie and Friends, is a special treat for musical lovers - an evening of song, anecdotes and the very best in musical entertainment.
Peter has given over 2,500 powerful and passionate performances as The Phantom of The Opera in London's West End, Canada, Singapore, and Hong Kong as well as on the prestigious Millennium tour.
He is also an international TV, radio and musical theatre performer who has starred in Les Miserables, Chess, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar.
Joining Peter as his special guest for the evening is Shn Cothi, who has performed throughout the country from St David's Cathedral to The Albert Hall. Her extensive repertoire ranges from opera to oratorio and musical theatre and she has sung with such prestigious orchestras as the BBC Concert Orchestra and with high profile singers such as Bryn Terfel and Michael Ball.
Her BAFTA award winning self-titled music series ran for two successful seasons and was nominated best music programme at the Montreux Festival. Shn has also performed the role of Carlotta in the West End production of Phantom of the Opera for over a year Peter and Shn, who perform numbers from musicals such as Evita, Chess, Phantom, Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Lion King, New York New York, Sunset Boulevard, West Side Story, Miss Saigon and Cats, will also be accompanied on stage by the Cheltenham Stage School.
