Tyning Villa dressage competition sets high standard

THE last dressage competition of the season at Tyning Villa Stables, Frampton Mansell, near Cirencester, followed the pattern set at earlier shows.

For the standard of competition was again very high, prompting one judge to remark that a number of horse and rider combinations would not have been out of place at an affiliated show.

Results of this recently held event are as follows:

Prelim 4 (judge Bula Brazil): 1 Melody Reynolds (Baz), 2 Sara Neish-Barker (Thomas), 3 Sandra Hayward (Misty Rivers), 4 Steph Pike (Llivior Chutney), 5 Ben Greenwood (Lody), = 6 Jeannie Bathe (Alex) and Zandra Hyland (Austin).

Prelim 7 (judge Sharon Eastwood): 1 Ruth James (Bertie), 2 Louise Pritchard (Rocky), 3 Steph Pike (Llivior Chutney), 4 Brian Sims (Shamrock), 5 Lucy Atty (El Raymondo), 6 Hannah James (Jude).

Prelim 10 (judge Bula Brazil): 1 Flo Prosser (Rusty), 2 Liz Elliott (Baz), 3 Sue Austen (Ben), 4 Sara Neish-Barker (Thomas), 5 Steph Pike (Llivior Chutney), 6 Brian Sims (Shamrock).

Prelim 18 (judge Sharon Eastwood): 1 Steph Pike (Llivior Chutney), 2 Brian Sims (Shamrock), 3 Ruth James (Bertie), 4 Louise Pritchard (Rocky), 5 Sue Austen (Ben), 6 Flo Prosser (Rusty).

Photographers Event Digipix of Stroud were present, offering competitors the opportunity to buy photographs printed on site.

But as previously found, the most difficult decision on the day for most people was to choose from the six or more prints of each horse and rider.

Tyning Villa Dressage competitions will resume in April/May next year but plans are being made to run training sessions from January.
