Badminton juniors do well in County championships

JUNIOR players from the Cotswolds had a successful weekend at the recent Glo'shire County Badminton Championships at Stratford Park in Stroud.

Cirencester's Lucie Vickers (Corinium Badminton Club) was a well deserved third in the U16s girls singles and Kate Stratford (Corinium and Bourton-on-the-Water) was also third in the U14s age group.

Laura Stratford (Corinium and Bourton-on-the-Water) was the winner of the U12s girls' singles with Megan Stancombe (Tetbury) a very close second.

All girls play regularly for the county side. Jake Wyatt (Stroud) won the boys U12s singles and was third in the U14s age group.

Ben Dodd (Tetbury) and Dominik Pinnington (Stroud) were first and second in the U14s plate event and Michael Outhwaite (Bourton-on-the-Water) was fourth.
