AS well as the increasing popularity of local cinema, the Sundial Theatre Film Club, based at Cirencester College, is also flourishing after a successful first year.
As well as showing high class films, a percentage of which are foreign with sub titles, the Club stages discussions during the interval, when members and guests can get together and talk about what they have seen and these have proved very popular.
The programme up until Christmas is extremely varied and very tempting.

On Tuesday, November 4 Juliette Binoche stars in the French drama Code Unknown while the excellent crime drama, Thelma and Louise, starring Sarah Sarandon, Geena Davis and Brad Pitt is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19.
The Spanish film Devil's Backbone, set in 1939, at the end of the Civil War and starring Eduardo Noriega will be shown on Tuesday, December and the last film before Christmas is the moving war drama, Regeneration, starring Jonathon Pryce and James Wilby.
The six films to be shown after Christmas will be taken from the following list: Chocolat, Solas, Monsoon Wedding, Throne of Blood, The Navigators, Spider, Cool and Crazy and Life is Beautiful.
