THE ANNUAL CHYP Novice Horse and Pony Show took place at Oaksey on Sunday, August 17.

Results of the various classes in this event are as follows:

Best Turned Out - In Hand: 1 Dawn Bacchus (Humble Pie), 2 S Hunt (Moon), 3 Sarah Smith (Star).

Best Turned Out - Ridden: 1 Genevieve Tunster (Sixpence), 2 Rebecca Dawson (Rustic Golden Prince), 3 Cheryl Paddock (Ballet Rose).

Best Lead Rein, Riders seven years and under: 1 Shannon McCormeck (Poppet), 2 E Trocki (Henry), 3 Peggy Plowman (Toffee).

Best Lead Rein, Riders eight years and over: 1 Georgina Freeth (Merlin), 2 Joanna Matthews (Rowan).

Best Young Rider, 7 years and under: 1 Lucy Rogers (Little Wizard).

Best Rider, eight to 11 years: 1 Rosie Bathurst (Midget), 2 Florence Prosser (Rustic Golden Prince), 3 Melissa Tuckwell (Dun For Fun).

Best Rider, 12-15 years: 1 Louise Rose (Rocky), 2 Lizzie Doolittle (Tiddly), 3 Fern Crook (Harry).

Best Rider, 16 years and over: 1 Caroline Doolittle (Daisy), 2 Guy Gooding (Franky), 3 Laura Pearce (Ladybird).

Best Young Handler, 13 years and under: 1 Lizzie Doolittle (Tiddly), 2 Florence Prosser (Rustic Golden Prince), 3 E Trocki (Henry).

Adult Have A Go, riders 30 years and over: 1 Gary Medlicott (Pearl), 2 Daphne Bakker (Billy), 3 Caroline Doolittle (Daisy).

The Chessie Memorial Cup this year was won by Jenny Reed and Yasmin.
