CRAVING chocolate and other naughty goodies can give you the blues while on a diet.
A good way to keep motivated is to exercise - even if it's just a brisk ten minute walk each day.
Le Spa Health and Fitness Club, in Cirencester, is offering four lucky readers the chance to win a free four month membership.
The membership includes access to an 18 metre swimming pool, gymnasium, exercise classes, sauna, steam room and a whirlpool spa.
The prize draw is only open to anyone taking part in the Ten Ton Challenge.
To be in with a chance of winning, you must fill a form in from the club and write about why are taking part in the challenge, and why you deserve the membership.
Throughout August, Le Spa is also going to donate £5 to the challenge for every membership purchased.
A short-term unlimited use membership is also being promoted for August and September, costing £70 a month.
The Ten Ton Challenge is helping to raise funds for Cirencester Hospital The target is £22,400 target, which equals ten tons. This will be added to others funds being raised for a £120,000 digital x-ray machine.
More men and women across the district are being urged to take up the challenge, even if it's to lose as little as 2lb.
Remember, for every 1lb lost at least £1 will go to the hospital and every penny counts.
Punters visiting The Royal Oak in Cirencester Road, Tetbury, will be able to see Ten Ton Challenge organiser Alastair Goulty trying to raise a few more pounds for charity this evening (Thursday).
He said: "I've been challenged by the landlord to work behind the bar for ten days between 7pm and 10pm. All my earnings will be donated to the challenge.
"The pub is also offering £100 to anyone that can tempt me to smoke or drink. If nobody manages it that money will also be donated."
Alastair is an estate agent for the Cirencester branch of Re/Max Property by day, and is hoping to lose five stone.
The challenge is being supported by Re/Max Property, CMC Media, Lady Apsley of Cirencester Park, and the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard. To register, contact Re/Max or visit the website.
