THE Unborn band showcase returns to the Corn Hall on Friday, August 1, continuing to bring young local talent to Cirencester.
First up are Eskimo Toccata, a retro underground pop punk band formed three years ago. They have not performed live recently but have been working on new material which will feature in Unborn.
Next up are the three lads who make up the band Subslider, in a return visit to the Corn Hall. They are a rock/indie/pop outfit with a raw, punchy and energetic sound.
They have recently released a five-track EP, Shadows of Time, which shows off their trademark 'wah-wah' rock style. Subslider are now currently gigging around the Gloucestershire area, and their new album, Highbreed, is out now.
Following Subslider will be Apache Rose. Dave and Mat Williams, with Chris Sykes on the drums, make up the three-piece from the Cirencester area.
They have been gigging locally for the past two years and describe their music as a combination of riff-based alternative rock with infectious vocal melodies.
Completing the line-up are alternative rockers, Bad Obsession. They produce a high octane, energetic stage performance every time and are looking to playing at Cirencester's largest venue.
"Based on its previous success and confident line-up, Unborn promises to rock the house," said Cotswold District Council events officer Rik Husdan.
Doors open at 7.30pm for a prompt start at 7.45pm and the gig finishes at 12am. Tickets on the door only. More information from Rik on 01285 623448.
