THE 33rd Guiting Festival takes place in the Cotswold village of Guiting Power from July 26-August 3.

Also on Sunday, Charles Mellingue (trumpet), Christopher Boodle (organ) and Sue Black (soprano) give a concert of music by Bach, Scarlatti and Handel.

On Monday evening, July 28, Gloucestershire's own internationally acclaimed classical guitarist and composer Hayley Savage plays works by Bogdanovich and Albeniz and on Tuesday, July 29 Alba Ventura gives a piano recital of music by Chopin and Mozart.

Seddon Deadly Sins, including Martin Litton on piano and Julian Seddon on drums, present an evening of jazz on Wednesday, July 30 and on Thursday, July 31 the Rosendale Quartet play Beethoven and Schumann.

Yana Novakova (violin) and Petr Novak (piano) play works by Mozart, Dvorak and Janacek on Friday, August 1 and the Festival finishes on a particularly high note on Saturday, August 2, with Jacqui Dankworth (daughter of John Dankworth and Cleo Laine) and Field of Blue giving a selection from their albums, plus music by Ellington, Gershwin, Porter and others.
