Comedy award nominee returns

COMEDIAN and writer Linda Smith hits the stage running with her brand new show, creating an exhilarating evening of sparkling entertainment for connoisseurs of stand-up comedy when she makes a return visit to Brewery Arts, Cirencester on Saturday, July 11 at 8pm.

Linda is a warm and witty performer whose inventive show blends the topical with the personal, the political with the surreal and silly.

A British Comedy Award nominee, Linda has written and performed in two critically acclaimed series of her own BBC Radio 4 situation comedy Linda Smith - A Brief History of Time Wasting, and was voted Wittiest Person by BBC Radio 4 listeners' poll in May 2002.

She is the first woman team captain on BBC Radio 4's News Quiz and a panel guest on Just a Minute and I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. She has appeared on numerous television programmes including Have I Got News for You, They Think It's All Over, Call My Bluff, Monday Night Clive James and Question Time and in many Radio 4 literary programmes.
