LAST April members of the Weybridge Male Voice Choir visited the source of the Thames near Kemble before beginning a series of concerts at Thamesside venues in aid of Save the Children.
They met local Save the Children volunteers, enjoyed the hospitality of the Thames Head Inn and took photographs of the spot where the source of the Thames is marked.
They plan to give a series of concerts on the Thames and during the course of a year their aim is to raise £10,000 for the charity.
Concerts are booked in many places along the river, including Windsor, Southwark Cathedral and the Tower of London, but the most local one is in Lechlade Parish Church on Saturday, June 21 - a Midsummer celebration with a difference.
To book your ticket, which includes refreshments, telephone 01453 843464.
