THE regular Unborn showcase returns to the Corn Hall on Saturday, May 17, continuing to bring fresh, young, local talent to Cirencester.
First up are Cirencester favourites Afterglow. Formed six years ago, they are well known locally for their brand of indie-edged original music described as "U2 meets the Stereophonics."
Since the departure of the band's original bass player, they have not performed live but have been working on new material which they will play at Unborn, assisted on bass by Trevor Short from The Rock Factory.
Next up are Cirencester-based group Ginger Beaver, who played on the Unborn night in January. The four-piece band's style is undeniably Metal-based but includes the surprising addition of a didgeridoo.
Their blend of originals and covers are inspired by groups such as Coal Chamber and the Misfits.
Completing the line-up are alternative rockers, Morph, whose style has recently been described as "a cross between Muse and the Deftones."
The group of three formed over two years ago and have presented their original material with a sweaty, energetic stage performance at various high-profile local venues including the Two Pigs and JD Peppers in Cheltenham.
Tickets on the door which opens at 8pm.
