Goldie to DJ in Cirencester

MUSICIAN, DJ and man-about-town Goldie makes a special appearance at Cirencester club night Incision tomorrow (Friday).

Widely known as a star of EastEnders, Celebrity Big Brother and from the pages of celebrity gossip magazines, Goldie will be returning to his first love - music.

Hailed as the artist who brought drum and bass from the underground to the mainstream with Inner City Life in 1993, and unmistakable from the trademark gold engraved front teeth that gave him his name, Goldie has played a baddie in the 1999 James Bond film The World is Not Enough, a villain in Guy Ritchie's Snatch and last year revived his role in EastEnders as gangster Angel (named after his second single), nemesis of Paul Truman.

Following his early departure from the Celebrity Big Brother house in November last year, Goldie promised fans he would return to playing and producing music.

His new album, goldie.co.uk is out now through the Trust the DJ label. Incision runs from 9pm to 2am at the Corn Hall, Cirencester. Tickets are £10 on the door.

Support comes from resident DJs Poison, Terminal and De-Ad, with Mad Blunt Inc playing breakbeat and old skool in the back room.

Cotswold District Council events officer Karla Spedding said: "With dates already booked up until May with big name DJs, Incision looks set to be bigger and better than ever,"
