Celtish play at the Brewery Arts in Cirencester

CELTISH is one of the finest young bands currently making waves on the roots circuit and they're performing at Brewery Arts, Cirencester on Thursday, February 6 at 8pm.

Celtish play an explosive mixture of Celtic music firmly grounded in the dynamic interplay between button accordion and fiddle.

This, coupled with commanding vocals and set off by acoustic guitar, lends Celtish a rare sophistication.

This is a journey into the music of Britain as each of the four musicians brings the style of their home country - Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England - to create a wonderful range of traditional music.

They mix jigs and reels from Ireland and Scotland with ballads and laments from Wales and the rest of Britain.

They play with energy and enthusiasm in front of dramatic live sets.

The band is fronted by Gwynneth Keen on vocals, with Patrick Barcoe on button accordion, Heather McFarlane on fiddle and Gordon Taylor on guitar and mandola.

Tickets from the box office on 01285 655522.
