FARMOR'S School 1st XV rugby team is the sole remaining Gloucestershire representative in the Daily Mail U18 Vase competition.
Having already beaten Marling, Old Benedicts and Newent, the competition now enters the National stage.
Following the Christmas break, the team from Fairford will be preparing for a trip to Henley College, their opponents in the next round.
The whole school is talking about the team's success and many of the younger players are keen to play rugby so that they will have similar opportunities in future years.
Neil Gapp, second in charge of PE at the school, says: "This is an exceptional achievement for a school that does not have an established rugby reputation.
"We are fortunate to have some very skilled students who have benefited from coaching from the Fairford senior team.
"We aim to build on this and strengthen our playing ability at all levels."
