AMAZING aerial acrobatics and high-wire daring will have audiences at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham on the edge of their seats when Gangsters comes to town.
The Generating Company - the team behind the Millennium Dome show - is bringing its somersaulting spectacular to the Everyman from July 15-17.
Set in a fictitious city during the prohibition, Gangsters follows the adventures of an innocent young immigrant new to the city and its inhabitants.
As he steps off the boat he is immediately thrown into a world of tumbling gangsters and flying floosies and unwittingly becomes embroiled in a world of deception and intrigue, culminating in a breathtaking aerial shoot-out.
The show comes with a remarkable pedigree. Its designer Mark Fisher designed Pink Floyd's The Wall tour, Bridges to Babylon for the Rolling Stones and Zoo TV and Popmart for U2, while costume designer Vicky Le Sache's credits include the smash-hit children's TV show The Tweenies.
The Generating Company's first show, Storm, received rave reviews from the press and public and will tour Europe this autumn.
Gangsters promises to take circus entertainment to new heights.
