New Postman Pat show to delight children

THE school holidays get off to a fine start at the Everyman Theatre with a new show about Postman Pat and his black-and-white cat Jess.

Entitled Postman Pat in Where's Jess, the show is suitable for two to seven year-olds and their parents and carers, and is in ideal introduction for children to the delights of the live theatre.

A highly interactive production, with lots of songs and audience participation, the show follows Pat as he makes his daily post round in the village of Greendale.

But he is running late, he's got too many letters and parcels to deliver, his van keeps breaking down, and Jess has gone missing.

Youngsters will be enthralled by the show which features all Pat's favourite friends including Ted Glen, PC Selby, Reverend Timms, Major Forbes, Granny Dryden, Miss Hubbard, Dorothy Thompson and Dr Gilbertson.

The show runs from July 18 - 21.
