Festival fun with a golden theme

THE Northleach Charter Festival took place at the weekend celebrating the anniversary of the town's charter with a Golden Jubilee theme.

The annual three day event began on Friday with a musical miscellany at the Church of St Paul and St Peter.

On Saturday, people from the town watched the charter procession as it made its way through the town to the King George V playing field, where local groups had traditional stalls and attractions.

Children taking part in the procession dressed in red, white and blue and the Market Square was decorated with flags and bunting.

On Saturday evening the day was rounded off with a stag roast and disco as well as a welly walk and raffle.

Festivities were drawn to a close on Sunday morning with a special service at the Church. Pictured in the Charter Festival procession are Caitlyn Smith, Luke Tuckwell and Charlotte Tuckwell.
