TERRY Lightfoot and his Jazzmen will perform a tribute to jazz legend Louis Armstrong at the Subscription Rooms, Stroud on Thursday, June 27 at 7.30pm when they present The Special Magic of Louis Armstrong.
Terry was one of the very few British musicians actually to play alongside the great man, and Terry Lightfoot and his Band were invited to share the bill for the 1965 UK tour by the Louis Armstrong All Stars - the tour that introduced Hello Dolly to the hit parade.
The Special Magic of Louis Armstrong will not only include the great songs of Louis' career such as Hello Dolly, Wonderful World and High Society, but also the great 'hot' jazz instrumentalists from his earlier days with The Hot Five, King Oliver.
Tickets from the Box Office on 01453 760900.
