One man play

ON Thursday, June 27, professional actor Mansel David presents his one man play, Crummles, at Brewery Arts, Cirencester.

Crummles is a faithful and humorous re-enactment of the theatrical episodes from The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens, based on Nickleby's adventures with the Crummles Theatre company.

When put together these extracts form a complete story in which Mansel David plays each of the 12 main characters as well as half a dozen minor roles and performs the piece in the style of a dramatic reading.

Mansel David has worked for 25 years in all branches of theatre, television and radio.

He has starred in such sitcoms as Yes, Prime Minister and appeared in a variety of acclaimed West End productions including Michael Frayne's Noises Off and two Tom Stoppard plays, Jumpers and The Real Things, with stars such as Felicity Kendall, Paul Eddington, Leslie Phillips, June Whitfield and Sir Ralph Richardson.

Crummles has toured in the US and Germany, to great acclaim.

Tickets from the box office on 01285 655522.
