IMAGES of Dance is a popular and vivacious company of young dancers, directed by Margaret Barbieri, former principal dancer of the Royal Ballet, which tours this summer with a feast of classical ballet for all the family, and comes to the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon next Monday.
The programme starts with George Balanchine's Stars and Stripes which was premiered by New York City Ballet in 1958 and was dedicated to the Mayor of New York City and founder of the City Center of Music and Drama.
Part of this new performance is being danced as a tribute to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and for the loved ones they left behind.
Also in the programme is the award-winning Lyric Suite, choreographed by Michael Corder to music by Edward Grieg, Images of Mulan, inspired by an ancient Chinese legend, and The Bawdy Song Travellers - a journey back to the joyful romp of the travelling show.
Tickets from the box office on 01793 524481.
