OLYMPIC gold medalist Sir Steve Redgrave gave a boost to a jubilee charity hike which passed through Lechlade at the weekend.
The champion rower, the winner of five Olympic gold medals, was at the Trout Inn on Saturday to wish the walkers well.
Ten ramblers are taking part in the Golden Jubilee Thames Walk, which has been organised by the Sir Steve Redgrave Charitable Trust to raise money for children's groups.
The walkers are planning to complete the 175-mile route along the Thames Path from Coates to St Catherine's Dock in London in 13 days.
