THE CREAM of the local music scene will be unleashed at the Corn Hall in Cirencester next weekend at the fourth Unborn night.
Headliners Sub-Slider are joined by the Last Taxi and boy.eats.girl for a night of raucous metal, raw grunge and fiery funked-up rock on April 26.
Cirencester three-piece Sub-Slider pack a strong punch with their finely honed indie-rock sound.
Mike Ayers (guitar and vocals), Chas (bass), and Johnny Boy (drums) recently released a five-track EP, Shadows of Time, which has been circulating around various music labels.
Over the last two years, Cheltenham's Last Taxi have evolved a unique funk-rock crossover sound along with a bizarre sense of humour.
Mark Waddington (bass), Gabriel Noguera (vocals), Nick Medcroft (harmonica and percussion) and Darren (drums) have a new album in the mix and a demo doing the rounds.
They are hoping to get a support slot with former Wonderstuff frontman Miles Hunt.
Kicking off the evening in energetic style are Cirencester-based boy.eats.girl, who have whipped up their own blend of rip-roaring metal from influences ranging from the Deftones to Radiohead.
Ed (vocals and guitar), Ned (drums and vocals), Edwin (guitar and vocals) and Iain (bass and vocals) have just recorded a four-track demo and already have a shed-load of fresh material for a planned EP.
Doors open at 8.30pm and tickets are available from Cirencester Visitor Information Centre or on the door.
