Classical quartet comes to Cirencester

AFTER a sell-out concert in the spring, the Bochmann Quartet returns to Brewery Arts, Cirencester on Sunday, April 21 at 3pm.

The final performance in a series of three begins with Schubert's hauntingly beautiful Quartettsatz in C minor.

In contrast is Janacek's ferocious Kreutzer Sonata for Quartet, inspired by Tolstoy's book of the same name. This piece describes how the heroine is tortured and finally beaten to death.

Happily, the final piece provides a complete contrast with Ravel's extraordinary ability to paint scenes in music clearly seen in his Quartet in F.

Tickets from Brewery Arts on 01285 655522.
