Elsie the dachsund and Cinton the bouvier des Flandres

TOP dogs Elsie and Clinton deserve a real pat on the back from their owners Sigurd and Kari Wilberg from Cricklade for being true Crufts champions.

Sixteen month-old Elsie, a Miniature Wire Dachshund, won top prize in the Special Yearling (bitch) class at the prestigious event and three year-old Clinton, a Bouvier des Flandres by pedigree, came third in the Open Dog category.

It is the first time either dog has been entered for Crufts.

Proud owner Sigurd Wilberg, said: "My wife Kari and I have seven dogs, all Dachshund and Bouvier, and we are very proud of them all.

Mr Wiberg added: "We are great dog lovers and my wife has been a top breeder of Bouvier's for 20 years so it is an honour for both dogs to have won prizes at Crufts."
