Cirencester 4 - 2 Newent

Cirencester cruised to a 3-0 lead at halftime courtesy of goals from Alex Tomlinson, and two short corners scored by Trudi James and Helen Pauling. Sophie Cook, in terrier mode, and Alex Tomlinson controlled the midfield as Cirencester took revenge for the dubious draw in the away fixture.

Faced with driving hail in the second half and lapses of concentration, they allowed Newent to pull back two goals. A third corner by Helen Pauling put the result beyond doubt, and Ciren even allowed themselves the luxury of missing a flick, awarded for a chopping tackle as Bryony Oliff-Lee was about to strike.
