Bishop pays school a special visit

THE Bishop of Gloucester paid a special visit to Bibury School to dedicate a £120,000 refurbishment.

Major building work took place over the summer to knock down the old Victorian cloakrooms and build a state-of-the-art computer suite and early years wet play area.

The 43 pupils at the school now have a bigger sports hall and the library is closer to their classrooms.

The work was funded by a grant under the government's New Deals for Schools scheme.

After a tour of the school, the Rt Rev David Bentley held a service to dedicate the new refurbishments.

He also met staff, children and parents.
