Antique bowl stolen

THE police have released a photograph of a £950 pottery bowl stolen from a Stow-on-the-Wold shop last month.

The large green and brown bowl, created by Michael Cardew, was stolen from Ruskin Decorative Arts, Talbot Court, between 3.15pm and 3.20pm on Monday, January 21.

Two white suspects were seen in the shop at the time. One was male, aged about 25, fair-haired, pale-skinned and wore light, fawn clothing while carrying a jacket.

His companion was female, aged about 23, around five ft eight ins tall, had her hair tied in a ponytail and wore a black coat.

A police spokesman said: "The police would like to talk to anyone who was in the Sheep Street area of Stow on the day in question and who may have seen two people matching these descriptions."
