Magical tale at Bingham Hall

Dave Woodrough and Sarah Tucker as the ugly sisters

A HOLLYWOOD sequel maybe in the pipeline, but in Cirencester the tale of Cinderella remains unchanged.

The town's Phoenix Review group is bringing the magical tale of a wicked stepmother, a dashing prince and a fairy godmother to the Bingham Hall next week.

The 50-strong cast have been rehearsing for six-months for the show, which features songs from past and present, including the SClub7 hit Reach For The Stars.

Director Jan Woodrough said: "The show is brilliant. There's a few of my own ideas in it, and it will be a lot of fun."

The production stars 16-year-old Katie Berry as Cinders and Jan's husband Dave Woodrough and Sarah Tucker as the Ugly Sisters.

The show is being staged on Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting at 7.30pm. There is also a matinee on Saturday starting at 2.30pm.

Tickets, priced at £4 (adults) £3.50 (children), are available from Cirencester Visitor Information.
