Barbara Heap Billing

My sincere condolences to all of Barbara's family. Barbara was my God mother and the best friend of my mother (Phyllis (nee James) Berg). The two met while serving during WWll. My family later moved to the U.S. yet Barbara would always manage to arrange a visit to see us when she attended scientific conferences. She was a remarkable biochemist, friend and "Auntie". I shall miss her clever humor, her scientific insight, sharing her many adventures traveling around the world and being a part of our family all these years and over so many miles. I was the God daughter, but she became an important family favorite for my brother and his family (Michael & Barbara Berg, daughter Meghan), and my husband Bob and our children (Garrick & Allison). Bob would always stop in to see his favorite "date" when he traveled to England for business. She will be very missed by us all.
